Firm History
Keyes Architects & Associates is a Full Service Architectural Firm located in Louisville,
Kentucky. The firm was formed in March, 1991 in response to requests by potential clients
desiring a more direct relationship with Charles J. Keyes III, who, at that time, was an Associate
Partner in a medium sized architectural firm.
During our fifteen (15) years, we completed or initiated work on over 1000 projects ranging in
construction cost from $15,000.00 to $6,400,000.00.
Total approximate construction costs for completed projects $160,000,000.00
Total approximate costs of projects under construction $ 7,000,000.00
We have commitments with multiple clients through the year 2007.
COMPANY PHILOSOPHY & GOALS
Keyes Architects & Associates was established on the philosophy and goals of Charles
J. Keyes III. We strive to match the level of our involvement to the needs of our clients. Some
clients or projects need our input only as consultants for specific parts of a facility while others
require complete architectural services, starting with the project space programming and
continuing through construction administration. By being flexible in our involvement as requested
by the client, Keyes Architects & Associates is able to become involved in any project without
requiring the client to incur the costs for full Architectural Services on every project. Our projects
range from helping small contractors develop economical house framing layouts to multimillion-
dollar commercial facilities in numerous states. Our goals are to provide the best possible
architectural services per client dollar spent, to provide a positive working environment for growth
and personal development and, of course, to provide for the monetary needs of the firm's
employees.
ARCHITECTURAL / PLANNING
Because of the diversity and scale of Keyes Architects & Associates project and client base, we
have developed separate descriptive lists for various building types. These are shown below and
we normally include specific relevant lists with this resume. If other client project lists are desired
or another building type is needed, please call. We also have produced a compact disk of
projects that can be used on any Windows-based computer. Keyes Architects & Associates has
descriptive project lists of the following:
| Industrial Projects

Educational / Daycare Projects

| Retail Projects

Although most of the projects of
Keyes Architects & Associates are individual buildings directly for
owners, we also have on going relationships with several well-known regional and national
corporations. Since 1991,
Keyes Architects & Associates has designed numerous facilities for
the ChemCentral Corporation in several states. We have on-going relationships with a
nationwide restaurant chain for ADAAG Code consulting, renovation, and addition projects. We
have completed four renovation projects for the United Defense Corporation. Keyes Architects &
Associates continually searches for new corporate entities with whom to become associated. On
a regional basis we have several on-going relationships with commercial developers and real
estate firms. Through our association with the fire services of this area we are continually
designing, upgrading or renovating emergency service facilities. The numerous religious projects
that we are involved in are usually developed through a building committee that investigates our
past projects and ask us to give a proposal on future work. Some of these projects may have
several buildings with renovations in a complex or may be small independent groups that desire a
new building. Currently we have completed several entertainment projects such as cinemas and
amusement park projects.
