List of Prominent Projects

American Beverage Corporation – New Albany, Indiana: Keyes Architects & Associates worked on 4 separate projects at this site.  Work included full architectural and engineering services including industrial designs, adding new production lines and bottling.  Also included was the design of 132,000 sf. shipping warehouse with several truck docks and shipping ramps.  All work on this site was performed design build so changes were made as needed, allowing the owners to continue working without shutting down the facility.

C & G Technologies – Clarksville, Indiana: Keyes Architects & Associates worked on 2 separate projects at this site.  Work included full architectural and engineering services, connecting two existing buildings with a new connector building containing warehouse storage, product repair pods and offices.  The connector building of 14,000 sf. was added between two existing buildings totaling in 28,000 sf.  Work included adding a new fire wall along the length of the building, adding two new delivery truck docks with dock levelers and the addition of lead lined production pods for repairs made to medical equipment.

Welding & Therapy Services – Louisville, Kentucky:  Keyes Architects & Associates performed full architectural and engineering services including industrial design for the airport mandated relocation of Welding & Therapy Services on Crittenden Drive.  This included full relocation of three buildings, all exterior docks and trucking facilities, and six production lines for the production and compression of numerous gases and liquids.  This entire project was completed without shutting the plant down and included a million dollar production upgrade.

ChemCentral Corporation – 10 different locations around the United States.  Keyes Architects & Associates performed full architectural and engineering services including industrial design for the ChemCentral projects in numerous States.  These included the shipping, storage, and packaging of both flammable and non-flammable materials, temperature controlled areas, pharmaceutical control quality areas, and numerous high hazard facilities.  We worked from the beginning on the design and operations of the facilities and interfaced with all Local and State Agencies in the jurisdictions required.  The largest of these projects was a $14 million facility (building costs only) in Atlanta.

 Chemical Resources, Inc. – Louisville, Kentucky.  Keyes Architects & Associates performed architectural and engineering services for the Chemical Resources addition in southern Louisville.  This facility was approximately $750,000.00 of actual construction costs involving flammable liquids, corrosives, and specific inhalant hazards.

 IvyHill Packaging – (New Name) Louisville, Kentucky.  Keyes Architects & Associates has an on-going relationship with the IvyHill Packaging Corporation where we have performed architectural, engineering, and industrial design for a large printing facility.  We have completed 8 projects to date.  All of this work was completed without shutting the plant down or seriously affecting their production.

Airtomic (C. Lee Cooke) – Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Keyes Architects & Associates provided architectural and engineering services of a concrete tilt-up facility for the Airtomic Corporation a new 40,000 s.f. facility in Jeffersonville.  The project included all offices, warehouses, production areas, and site information for a new facility.

MedVenture Corporation – Keyes Architects & Associates provided architectural, engineering, and industrial design services for their original 24,000 s.f. manufacturing, laboratories, and offices, and for their renovated 80,000 s.f. laboratory, offices, and production facility in Louisville, Kentucky.  These projects consisted of many biomedical research laboratories, storage, and production facilities in conjunction with various doctors and research under contract.  All of the facilities were high security and medical grade clean rooms, laboratories, and production.

 United Defense Corporation – (and Department of the Navy) Keyes Architects & Associates performed architectural and engineering services on several projects at the Louisville Technology Center (Old Naval Ordnance Station) directly for the Department of the Navy and for United Defense.  These projects involved the total rebuilding of three fit-up gun-mount buildings (made to exactly match the turrets in operation on current battleships) and highly secured computer areas within the specialized vaults in the office areas.

Black & Decker Corporation – Shelbyville, Kentucky.  Keyes Architects & Associates provided architectural services for 7separate additions or renovations to the Black & Decker manufacturing facility in Shelbyville, Kentucky.  The additions totaled approximately 45,000 s.f. of numerous production uses such as annealing, forging, finishing, and quality control laboratories.  This is presently on-going projects.

American Roofing & Metal Co., Inc. – Louisville, Kentucky.  Warehouse and Office for a large commercial roofing company.  Three years later we also doubled the office space and added additional storage/truck buildings.

Abilene Texas Foods – Cane Run Road, Louisville, Kentucky.  Renovation of 40,000 sf. refrigerator/ freezer building to produce, store, and ship smoked meats.

M. Kelley – New Albany, Indiana. Keyes Architects &I Associates has an ongoing relationship with this steel fabricating facility completing two additions and two renovations so far.

Smith Laminating – Mount Washington, Kentucky.  New 30,000 sf. office and production facility for a custom millwork and countertop manufacturer.

AIRGO Industries Building – Pekin Road, Indiana.
